Darby has spent her 25+ year career working with individuals, teams and organizations to build capability, enhance leadership consciousness and increase overall performance. She works with leaders and teams to:

In her teaming and leadership consulting work, Darby helps define and cultivate mindsets, behaviors and capabilities that support the organization’s aspirations. Her specialty is designing business-relevant and meaningful opportunities for learning, insight and application coupled with sustained support and coaching to generate lasting results.

As a coach, Darby is deeply committed to developing passionate, insightful and authentic leaders who evoke excellence, commitment and innovation from those around them. Darby uses an integral ‘whole person’ approach to her coaching, incorporating the dimensions of ‘being’ and ‘doing’ as critical to one’s growth. Darby encourages her clients to harness curiosity, see new possibilities, shift mindsets and implement sustainable shifts.


Her experience uniquely integrates a background in change management, business strategy, organization development and leadership coaching that positions her as a valued business partner and a skillful coach. Prior to becoming a full-time coach, Darby worked as Sr.  Principal of Organization Development at Genentech where she supported executive leaders and teams as they navigated through a demanding and evolving global landscape. In other previous roles, Darby ran a change leadership practice for a boutique consulting firm, was a strategy consultant in the consumer goods industry and spent several years as a change management consultant at Accenture.

Darby received her coaching credential from New Ventures West in San Francisco. She has been studying and using the Enneagram as a transformative development tool for the several years and it has since become an important part of her work with individuals and teams.


I had the pleasure to work closely over time with Darby. Together we focused on enhancing leadership behaviors and shifting to a more positive and collaborative way of working together. My global leadership team consisted of 9 direct reports managing 450 team members. Darby’s expertise, professionalism, and warm style made the team’s transformation feel natural and provided consistent positive results.
