Marla is a passionate advocate for leaders taking their personal and business lives to the next level. She asserts that business excellence and subject matter expertise is what gets leaders to the table –and that emotional and team intelligence will be what defines them as inspirational, innovative, and successful. She sees at the root of what brings most of her clients to coaching is that they knowhow to be an individual doing “the work,” but when the the work shifts to creating results through the people they lead, they falter. Marla is a blend of tough love that challenges individuals to up their game and be evermore effective as leaders.

Marla’s ideal client is someone who wants to become their next best iteration of a leader. They are ready to get the feedback and coaching for the next best version of themselves. And, they are hungry to lead from a place of purpose, values, and vision.

Her favorite industries to coach are biotech and small to mid sized tech companies. She enjoys working with scientists and engineers that have been elevated to people leaders, and need to make the pivot from subject matter expert to leading people.


For more than 20 years, Marla has been coaching executives on leadership, emotional intelligence, mindfulness and sales performance. Marla comes from a background in sales where she became the director of sales training at Prudential. She has worked in Silicon Valley for over 16 years with startups and established companies alike.

Marla was one of the early pioneers in coaching and helped shape the industry and define what coaching could be for leaders and business owners. She has been facilitating since 1996 and has developed and regularly delivers programs in leadership, Emotional Intelligence, mindfulness, sales excellence and team effectiveness. She is a senior faculty member at The Coaches Training Institute the worlds largest global leadership development training company. Since 2003 she has been a Master Certified Coach, which is the highest designation award by the International Coach Federation.
