Nevada Lane

Visual Facilitator

San Francisco, CA

Nevada Lane combines expert facilitation skills and a deep understanding of team dynamics with high-impact graphic recording to help teams gain clarity and engagement around defining and implementing strategic change. Over the past decade she has helped nearly 100 teams in organizations including Genentech, Google, AstraZeneca, Sony Ericsson and Autodesk increase their effectiveness by helping them envision the change they want to create.

Nevada’s knack for visualizing complex ideas and stories in real time has made her a sought-after graphic recorder and organizational illustrator. You might find her graphically recording a conference keynote presentation in Florida on Monday, creating a large-scale illustration during a pitch by an ad agency in Seattle on Wednesday, and working with a client to create a large-scale storymap depicting the effects of health care reform on patient access to drugs back in San Francisco on Thursday and Friday.

Nevada brings an international sensibility to her work, having lived and worked in the United Kingdom, Germany and Sweden. As a consultant with Lorensbergs, Sweden’s leading training and facilitation consultancy, she designed and delivered communications training multi-national audiences across Europe for organizations including SKF, Volvo and Beiersdorf. Workshop topics included facilitation, leadership communication, cross-cultural communication, leading change, coaching skills for new managers, and leading virtual teams, among others.

Nevada received her B.A. from UC Berkeley and the University of Munich (LMU). She holds a M.S. in Organization Development from the University of San Francisco and has also completed training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Non-Violent Communication.

A CrossFit devotee who spends too much time trying to lift heavy things and master gymnastic movements she once declared “crazy,” Nevada lives in her hometown of San Francisco with her husband and two tweens.

Working with Nevada was one of the best consulting experiences I have ever had. She made the strategic planning effortless. She is a master facilitator, passionate about team development and her recordings are amazing.

In our ever-expanding field, Nevada’s work stands out. She’s that uncanny individual who has deeply cultivated skills across a wide range of areas. Her graphic recordings are illustrative and narrative. Her graphic facilitation skills are practiced and honed. She strikes that perfect balance of professional and fun. I always enjoy working with Nevada.
